Scott Phillips BSC(Hons) Physiotherapy
Hi, I’m Scott, a passionate physiotherapist dedicated to helping people move better, feel stronger, and live pain-free. I graduated from the University of Worcester in 2024 with a First-Class Honours degree in Physiotherapy. Alongside my studies, I gained a Level 3 Extended Diploma in Sports Massage, which I integrate with exercise-based rehabilitation to provide well-rounded treatment plans.
My Approach to Physiotherapy
My goal is simple—to help people restore movement, build strength, and recover from injuries through a combination of hands-on therapy and personalised exercise programmes. During my clinical placements, I gained experience across a variety of settings, including musculoskeletal, paediatrics, neurological, and respiratory rehabilitation. However, my real passion lies in musculoskeletal physiotherapy, where I can make a real difference in helping patients overcome injuries and improve their physical performance.
A Background in Sport
As a former high-level rugby player and lifelong sports enthusiast, I understand the demands of athletic performance and injury recovery. Whether you're an athlete looking to return to peak condition or simply want to move pain-free, I bring both personal experience and professional expertise to every treatment session. I also love following the latest sports events and never miss a chance to chat about the game!
Beyond the Clinic
Outside of physiotherapy, you’ll often find me out in the countryside enjoying a good walk or on the golf course working on my swing. I’m also an Associate Lecturer in Physiotherapy at the University of Worcester, where I teach one day a week on the Musculoskeletal module for second-year Physiotherapy students—an opportunity that not only keeps me engaged with the latest developments in the field but also helps bring fresh insight into my clinical practice.
If you’re looking for expert care to recover from injury, improve mobility, or enhance performance, I’d love to help. I am available at the Chipping Norton and Didcot Clinics.
My daughter was in a great deal of pain with her leg, to the extent that she had to stop all sport at school, despite studying GCSE Sport at school, which also had practical elements and exams. She had been visiting a physiotherapist, but it was not helping.
We decided to try someone new, and she was then treated by Scott at the Breakspeare Clinic. He had a lovely calming and reassuring manner. He managed to identify what was wrong and carefully explained exercises to be done between each visit. My daughter’s problem was completely healed after a handful of visits.
I am so grateful to the clinic, she is now out running again every day, can do all of her sports at school. This will now be our chosen clinic for any family physiotherapy.

I had a near fatal car accident and have been in pain regularly. I chose to have some physiotherapy due to the continuing pain in my neck and hip and no more ‘tools in my toolkit’ at this point in time to deal with it. I have had lots of different approaches over the last 30 years and am a Biomechanic Riding Coach but needed a new approach.
After listening patiently to my long and convoluted history, Scott took a thorough and methodical approach to assessing me and chose to focus on an area that I had forgotten about, my left sacroiliac joint.
He used a combination of manual therapy and exercises on this area, I soon found a great deal of pain relief.
I have had the best pain free sleep I have managed for quite a while and am looking forward to my next appointment!

Scott has got a great manner, very willing to listen and test what my problem is.
I am from Australia and came to Scott when my back became out of control. Two visits later and I'm back to where I should be. He suggested Pilates would help.
Thanks!

My treatments with Scott involved sorting out a lower back issue and acute stiffness in the neck.
Both were dealt with in a very professional manner and have now been resolved. I certainly feel a lot better than l did before receiving his treatment.
During the sessions l found Scott to be very aware of the problems and treatment required which he administered courteously and effectively.
Scott has a very pleasant manner, and l would have no hesitation in recommending his services to anyone in need of a good physiotherapist.

I attended the Breakspeare Clinic in January and February 2025 to help with persistent lower back pain.
I had four sessions of treatment with Scott Phillips as well as undertaking a set program of exercises at home.
Scott was extremely supportive and was able to interpret my symptoms and provided a treatment package that has left me pain free and able to resume an active lifestyle.
The clinic is efficient, punctual and very welcoming and all the members of staff that I met were a credit to the business. I cannot recommend them highly enough.

I required physio after breaking my leg, caused by an on-going ankle problem and so I was very fortunate to meet with Scott at the Breakspeare Clinic.
He has provided me with an exercise programme aiming to restore strength to the leg and ankle muscles.
Very importantly, from our first session, Scott has taken the time and trouble to understand my outlook on the injuries and has helped to restore my confidence. We have worked to improve my mobility and I feel that I am making progress with the exercise programme.
Thank you Scott for your patient and considered approach to my treatment. I am happy to recommend you.

I was advised by a friend to attend the Breakspeare clinic near Chipping Norton and I’m very grateful that I booked an appointment. My left knee was very painful, making it difficult to walk comfortably, tackle stairs etc. and the pain was disturbing my sleep. I was also using pain relief medication.
After a thorough assessment, Scott planned some initial exercises to help strengthen muscles around my knee. Our ultimate goal was to reduce the pain and overcome mobility issues. From the outset Scott was keen to hear my thoughts and opinion about my progress. He encouraged open discussion and as my appointments passed over a number of weeks we agreed to extend the range, intensity and sets/number of exercises. It was obvious that our plan was working; pain relief medication is no longer required, walking is easier and my sleep is no longer disturbed.
I would recommend the clinic and the contribution of Scott Philips was superb. Alongside the expertise shared, the venue was easily accessible and I was always made welcome by superb staff in reception. If you have an injury be sure to make contact with this organisation. The goal to become pain free was achieved; physio input and effort to complete the exercises has been the route to success.
Thanks Scott. By the way I located a ‘wobble board’ for future use; aiming to maintain activity to build strength in ankles and knees to assist my well being. Kindest regards, your input has made a huge difference to me feeling better and stronger.

I was unfortunate enough to suffer a very nasty freak shoulder and arm injury caused when I tripped whilst walking. The injury behaved itself for a week, but the healing process regressed after a week which was a huge concern. I found Scott who restored, maintained, and boosted my shoulder strength, function and movement over regular consultations over many weeks. The process was Professional with huge positive feedback as the work progressed.
Scott also provided regular exercise plans which slowly but surely aided the recovery process. The shoulder and arm are now back to normal.
I have no hesitation in recommending Scott to anyone in need of a Physiotherapist.
