Tim Richardson
Tim is a Soft Tissue Therapist who specialises in an advanced bodywork called Myofascial Release (MFR). He travels to the USA to train with the world's leading pioneer of this work, the American Physical Therapist John F. Barnes.
Tim brings a holistic mind-body perspective to support every client, drawing on both his musculoskeletal / functional movement knowledge and also the deep whole person connection and intuitive palpation skills developed through the MFR.
Beyond his work as a therapist Tim loves reading, long dog walks in nature and he's a lifelong cycling geek. He also likes beer and dabbles in home brewing. He is a student of Tai Chi, Zhan Zhuang and Okinawan Martial Arts and lives on a canal boat in Tewkesbury.

What to Expect During a Treatment
Tim likes to have a free telephone chat to explain his work and assess whether MFR is the right modality for potential new clients, especially where trauma is a factor.
First appointments will have a 20-30mins free consultation for client paperwork, medical history and discussing treatment goals. This is followed by a 60mins postural assessment and treatment.
Follow-up treatments can be 60, 90 or 120 mins duration to suit the individual.
Intensive half-day and full-day bespoke plans are also available on enquiry
John Barnes MFR requires dry skin contact, and we watch the subtle body reactions as we work
Upon meeting Tim for the first time I felt instantly relaxed and anxieties about my first appointment quickly disappeared. He is a very kind and compassionate person and his knowledge is truly inspiring. Tim has done an excellent job at creating a comforting enviroment which allows clients to be vulnerable and still feel extremely safe. In the few sessions that we had together, Tim helped me overcome more than I ever thought to be possible and I would recommend his services to absolutely anybody.

After years of trying shiatsu, cranial osteopathy, acupuncture etc. MFR has been amazing for my migraines. Tim is treating me for back pain that had persisted for 4 months so the improvement in my headaches and migraines is a real bonus!
